The TAVINOX PRESS Elbow 45° is made from austenitic stainless steel, grade 316L, with 16.5–18.5% chromium and 10–13% nickel. The maximum operating pressure is 16 bar (PN 16), over a temperature range of −35 °C to +110 °C with an EPDM seal and up to +200 °C with an FKM seal. The CCZ, CE, ITC, DVGW, RINA, Lloyd's Register, EPD and ISO certifications cover use in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, Germany and Poland. A press joint on the TAVINOX PRESS Elbow 45° (GROOVE profile) takes about 5 minutes including tube preparation, compared with 25–30 minutes for a TIG-welded joint. Pressing needs no electricity or gas supply while the joint is being made (cordless machine, 19–65 kN), so the energy saved over 100 joints is about 300 kWh compared with a 6 kW welding set. That is the equivalent of about 150 kg of CO₂.

For higher temperatures you can use fittings with FKM seals (−20 °C to +160 °C, briefly up to +200 °C, process and solar thermal pipework).
