The FKM O-ring is made from FKM (FPM, fluoroelastomer), colour brown. The FKM O-ring is a sealing element for applications with higher demands on temperature resistance, chemical stability and resistance to oils, fuels and technical media. It is suitable for systems that require reliable leak-tightness even under increased thermal and operating loads. The long-term operating temperature range is −20 °C to +160 °C. Short-term temperature resistance: +200 °C / max. 5 min. The material offers: high temperature resistance, very good resistance to oils and lubricants, good resistance to fuels, good ageing resistance, good chemical stability and suitability for more demanding operating conditions. The FKM O-ring is suitable for hot water pipework, heating systems, solar thermal systems, industrial pipework, pipework for technical fluids, applications with a higher thermal load and applications involving contact with oils and lubricants. It is not intended for applications outside the verified chemical compatibility of the medium, applications requiring a seal with a special indicating function and operation outside the recommended temperature and pressure conditions of the system. The ITC, ASTM D2000, ISO and CCZ certifications cover use in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, Germany and Poland.
